My name is Bobby Rasheed. I was born in a small village in Pakistan, surrounded by mountains and without electricity. When I was five, my family moved to America, and I’ve lived in New York ever since. Growing up, I attended school in New York, but due to challenges in my life, I had to drop out of high school. However, that didn’t stop me from pursuing my goals and working hard to achieve them. I started working at 16, and at the age of 25, I was able to go back to school and get my GED.

What really amazes me is the potential this job offers. I have a friend who works in accounting with a master’s degree, yet I’m able to make the same or even more than he does. It’s incredible to think that, even without a traditional educational path, this opportunity allows me to build a successful career. A future goal of mine that drives me is to give back to communities like the one I came from.

Knowing where I come from deeply impacts how I approach life every day. I want to go to third-world countries and provide resources like water pumps, electricity, and food, and create systems where people can survive independently. I believe in helping people, but I also believe in empowering them to help themselves. Just like in this job, where we train and teach people to earn and succeed on their own, I want to lead others to build sustainable lives. Helping to a certain extent is important, but true impact comes from teaching people to stand on their own.
